EG Black falter to Grayhound in Melbourne
Evil Geniuses Black have stumbled early on in their run down under, as they fall 10-16 to Grayhound in their opening match on Inferno. The North American side are now set to face ECSTATIC in an elimination BO3.
EG Black got off on the right foot with a pistol round win on the defense, but they were immediately countered by five T-side rounds from Grayhound. Colby "Walco" Walsh's men broke up the streak with three of their own, nearly tying the scoreline up before Grayhound produced an even more dominant run that lasted for the remainder of the half, securing Grayhound an 11-4 lead at the half.
EG Black secured the second pistol round on the offense, but Grayhound's force buy once again proved too much to handle, as the Aussies brought their lead to 13-5. An eco-round victory for EG Black kicked off a streak of five rounds, allowing them to break into double-digits, but their comeback efforts were finally halted after a 2v2 retake went the way of Grayhound, propelling them to a 16-10 win on home turf.
EG Black will be looking to pick themselves back up with a win over ECSTATIC, who they are set to face tomorrow at 08:00PM.
