HexT officially returns to EG Black
Evil Geniuses have officially announced the return of Jadan "HexT" Postma to the Evil Geniuses Black squad, with the Canadian rifler filling in the spot left behind by the departure of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, whose exit was announced earlier in the day. This announcement comes just shy of EG Black's debut matchup at ESL Challenger Melbourne, where the side are set to face hometown heroes Grayhound in their opening BO1.
As a matter of practicality, HexT has been playing with EG Black since the conclusion of ESL Pro League Season 17 in late February, where the main squad bowed out of the league early with a disappointing 29-32nd overall placing. This and other subpar showings, which included Evil Geniuses initially missing out on the BLAST.tv Americas RMR, helped motivate the recent signing of former Heroic player Ismail "refresh" Ali to the team, who has since taken HexT's place on the main roster.
HexT returns to a very different EG Black from the one he originally played for prior to his move up to the main squad, as Colby "Walco" Walsh is the only remaining element from the original lineup following the exits of Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney and Connor "chop" Sullivan, as well as the promotion of Jerric "wiz" Jiang.
Since making his return, HexT and his new teammates have enjoyed some solid results, including a third-place finish in ESL Challenger League Season 44, a BO3 victory over FURIA in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, and qualification for ESL Challenger Melbourne.
Evil Geniuses Black are now officially:
-
Colby "Walco" Walsh
-
William "RUSH" Wierzba
-
Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott
-
Paytyn "junior" Johnson
-
Jadan "HexT" Postma
-
Tommy "Axed" Ryan
EG Black will be looking to build on their recent successes very soon, as their run in ESL Challenger Melbourne kicks off tomorrow evening at 10:10PM with an opening BO1 versus Grayhound.
