Evil Geniuses move on from inactive veteran
In a now-deleted tweet, Evil Geniuses have announced the departure of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz from their Evil Geniuses Black lineup. The move comes after Jadan "HexT" seemingly took over his spot on the team in an unannounced move, with the Canadian veteran not playing a single match for EG Black since March 1st.
stanislaw remains one of North America's most decorated IGLs, having lead teams like NRG, Liquid, Complexity, OpTic, and Evil Geniuses at one time or another. At OpTic he was headlining the squad that won ELEAGUE Season 2 before moving on to other projects, like NRG where he finished as a semi-finalist at the StarLadder Berlin Major in 2019. Following that, he would lead Evil Geniuses to win IEM New York 2019, StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 8, as well as various online North American events during the COVID-19 pandemic.
After being benched by Evil Geniuses towards the end of 2021, the IGL took a lengthy break where he admitted that he needed to find the love of the game once more. In July 2022, he announced that he would be returning to the game after playing on Disconnected and BHOP, two rosters that competed at the Advanced and ECL level. About a month after he would rejoin Evil Geniuses for a second stint on their Black academy roster.
The decision to bring in Ismail "refrezh" Ali to try and bolster EG's ranks seemingly created a chain reaction that pushed stanislaw out, however he should be recognized for his work with players like Jerric "wiz" Jiang and Jeorge "jeorge" Endicott.
With HexT's move to EG Black not being made official yet, the team are for the moment:
-
Colby "Walco" Walsh
-
William "RUSH" Wierzba
-
Jeorge "jeorge" Endicott
-
Paytyn "junior" Johnson
-
Jadan "HexT" Postma (Stand-in)
