Final ECS Season 8 Pinnacle Cup qualifier reaches quarterfinals
Out of a sparse field of 35 teams that signed up for the fourth ECS Season 8 Pinnacle Cup qualifier, eight squads remain, headlined by Party Astronauts, Peeker's Advantage, and LiViD.
Like the previous qualifier, the fourth qualifier did not feature many upsets, with the most notable results coming in the upper half of the bracket as Ascent felled Infinity 16-14 before later being eliminated by iNTACT 16-11 in the round of sixteen.
Elsewhere in the bracket, a Prospects mix-team featuring the core of the old lineup alongside Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce and Adam "Polen" Polen made quick work of SK334T3R. Main AWP, who have yet again decided to change their name to Triumph, also made it into the quarterfinals while using Ethan "ReckMONSTER" Serrano in place of the recently released Rafael "clone" Singer.
The quarterfinals are set to begin tomorrow at 2PM EDT, and will feature the following matchups:
