Complexity loss on Ancient breaks record
Complexity has already suffered a lot today, but according to HLTV their loss on Ancient against Movistar Rides was one of the worst losses in history on the map.
With Complexity finally getting a chance to play on their map choice after losing 16-8 on Vertigo, there was hope that the Americans could reverse their fortunes. Things started off amazingly as Complexity took a 10-0 lead to begin the half and would finish it at 11-4 in their favor.
However, that is when it all started to crumble. Complexity couldn't handle the Riders quick aggression and opening picks on the defense, causing that 10 round lead to evaporate. The Riders would continue to dominate on their T-side and close out the game in a 16-13 come-from-behind win.
According to the history of the map, this is the first time ever that a team has had a 10-0 T-side lead on Ancient and lost the game. Before today, there have only been 13 instances where a team has lead 10-0 on Ancient and ever lost the map.
With Complexity also winning 11-4 at the half, it was statistically less likely to lose the map compared to leading 10-0.
Complexis are headed to the Last Chance bracket where they will face the loser of Imperial v. SAW to see who stays alive in Pro League.
