First NA teams qualify for RMR

paiN and Complexity will represent NA at the Americas RMR.

Two of today's first matches were the 2-0 games of paiN vs Timbermen and Complexity vs MIBR. Timbermen are fairly new to this kind of stakes compared to their opponent, while both Complexity and MIBR know the stakes at play.

Timbermen were fairly outclassed by paiN throughout the entire series. The first map took the two teams to Mirage, Timbermen's pick. paiN got off to a roaring start, and while Timbermen clawed back, they were always just slightly behind their Brazilian opposition. An even half led to a dominant end as paiN picked off four in a row to win their opponent's map pick 16-12.

Vertigo, paiN's pick, spelled trouble for Timbermen. Despite starting on the T-side, paiN had no problems getting in the lead. Starting with a 6-1 run, the comfortable led over Timbermen at the half. Then once their defense came into play, it was good night for Timbermen. paiN only gave up two CT-side rounds as they went on the win Vertigo 16-8 and the series 2-0.

MIBR and Complexity are no strangers to competition, having faced each other twice already in the past three days. Both those times MIBR narrowly took the victory. This time, third try was the charm.

MIBR came off to a hot start on Anubis, though Complexity's T-side did garner a small advantage at the conclusion of the half. MIBR's T-side was just untouchable though, winning nine rounds to Complexity's two in the second half. Their strong offensive led MIBR to win their map pick of Anubis 16-10.

Complexity's pick of Nuke was an indredible one-sided affair. Despite choosing to start on the CT-side, MIBR took home only four rounds at the half, none of them consecutively. Complexity's CT-side shut the door as they silenced MIBR 16-5.

Ancient, the mutually agreed upon decider, was fairly even. MIBR led Complexity 9-6 after their T-side. However, an incredible strong T-side rammed through the Brazilians' defenses. Complexity only lost one T-side round as they went on to defeat MIBR 16-10 on Ancient and 2-1 in the series.
