c4lypso LiViD after being replaced by effys
LiViD have announced they have replaced Abdo "c4lypso" Agha with Loic "effys" Sauvageau.
The change comes after c4lypso helped power the French Canadian side to MDL, as the highest-rated player of Advanced playoffs. The player was understandably not pleased with the turn of events:
This is the second change of the off-season from LiViD, as they also decided to replace Cedric "M3lio" Perrault with Anthony "gMd" Guimond.
Danny "huynh" Huynh provided Dust2.us with the following statement from the team:
We just want to start off by saying that c4Lypso is an insane player and he is extremely skilled and for sure one of the best French Canadian players out there. Clearly, his stats are showing and the team was happy to set him up for success.
However, there are a lot of more things that you need to be able to be the best player and teammate in CS:GO. When we picked c4Lypso up for the second time, we gave him another chance and clearly told him that we will not put up with his toxicity and bad attitude. Abdo made a lot of effort to change and be a good teammate and his effort and dedication was noticed from the whole team, but it wasn't enough.
When one person in the team tilts and rages and destroys the whole team atmosphere by himself and makes the game unplayable and unenjoyable for others (and this happened many times per week) for the smallest stupid things, we cannot simply move on and say ''at least he's fragging'' and keep that person in the team. This last week was the last straw for some of us and we felt like we had to make a change. Therefore we have decided to pickup effys.
We would like to add that c4Lypso is a great person and super chill to hang out with and we still love him, but it just did not work out in a team environment.
In his time with LiViD, c4lypso most notably helped the team qualify the DreamHack Canadian Championship, ESEA Proving Grounds and for MDL Season 32.
With this roster change, LiViD now have:
- Danny "huynh" Huynh
- Michael "MkaeL" De Luca
- Mathieu "INCREDIBLE" Bergeron
- Anthony "gMd" Guimond
- Loic "effys" Sauvageau
When contacted by Dust2.us, David "J0LZ" Jolin informed us that RUNnGUN are unsure if they will continue following effys' departure, though a tweet from Yannick "KOLER" Blanchette seems to indicate otherwise:
