Liquid pull off second-ever 0-12 comeback on Overpass
Vitality and Liquid squared off on Overpass, with the Americans choosing the map as they've performed exceptionally well on it over the course of the event.
The French got off to a roaring start on their CT-side, stopping the Americans in their tracks and only letting them through into the site late in the half as they got two valuable T-side rounds.
With the score set at 0-12, HLTV predicted that there was actually a 0% chance of Liquid winning the map, despite them now being on the CT side. Based on the HLTV records, there have only ever been two comebacks from being down 0-12 for the team on T-side, the first being a match between Sangal and Urgentium.
Backs against the wall, Liquid were able to dig deep and pull out round after round as they held Vitality at bay.
The oft-scrutinized Joshua "oSee" Ohm was pulling off spectacular rounds, making sure that his team were able to stay in the match.
The best player of the map goes to Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski who dropped a 1.37 HLTV Rating with 35 kills, a 103.4 ADR, and a 69.4% KAST.
Liquid now head to Vitality's pick of Nuke as they look to close out the game.
