CLG Red stumble early in Katowice
CLG Red qualified for ESL Impact Katowice with hopes of coming back to the form the team had pre-pandemic, but a strong CT-side from NAVI Javelins resulted in a less-desirable start for the NA side.
In a very competitive group B, CLG Red aren't the favorites to clinch a spot in ESL Impact Katowice. Despite this, the team was looking to start the tournament with a win, and when choosing which map would be best to kick things of on, CLG Red took their Polish opponents to Ancient.
The CT-side started well for CLG Red, with a 6-0 opening but NAVI Javelins managed to shorten the distance and the half ended 9-6 for the NA side. The second half showed a totally different CLG squad, as the team was only able to win two rounds. NAVI Javelins comfortably stopped the offense and as reward got a win.
Marissa "madss" Dasta and Kelsie "uhKelsie" Click topped the fragging list for CLG Red with 20 and 19 kills, respectively.
CLG Red will now face either FURIA fe or 9 Pandas Fearless in an elimination match, later today at 02:00PM
