Saints can't contain Nigma Galaxy
Starting the first LAN ever for the team against the best lineup women's CS:GO has seen, while playing with a stand-in, isn't the best situation for any team. Despite all of this, Saints entered the server to face Nigma Galaxy hoping to stop the Russians' win streak
The map veto saw Inferno being left for last in this BO1, with Nigma Galaxy having to choose between Overpass or Inferno.
Saints started off the map pretty well, winning the T-side pistol round. Nigma would answer with three straight rounds but the NA representatives would answer back. Saints even got the lead but things quickly came crumbling down, as Nigma Galaxy turned on the jets and left their opponents in the dust. In the following 14 rounds, Saints only won one.
Despite the 16-5 loss, this was the team's debut on LAN and against the toughest opponent they could have drawn. Some good signs were shown early in the game, although not maintained throughout the match. Kaia "KiKi" Holmen, the stand-in for the tournament, and Anna "buhnny" Cheung were the top fraggers for Saints.
Saints will now face the loser of the game between HSG fe and B4 fe, tomorrow at 04:30AM.
