Variance add Bwills and nguyen
Variance have found a replacement for George "Powerzz" Yaede who elected to step down from the roster at the start of the off-season. This replacement comes in the form of Brendan "Bwills" Williams, while Anhduy "nguyen" Nguyen will step into the coach role after Huthaifa "blitzz" Khan announced that he would be transitioning to an analyst position.
After Thunder Logic's relegation from MDL, the team disbanded, leaving both Bwills and coach nguyen free agents. The duo joined Thunder Logic midway through the last season and were nearly able to rescue the team from their disastrous 0-7 start before they eventually fell in the relegation tournament to Bushido Boyz.
Variance had a relatively successful inaugural MDL season, finishing in 12th and avoiding the relegation tournament altogether despite making numerous roster changes throughout the season. They will be hoping to have an even better time in Season 32 with their newest additions.
The new roster has already participated in the final MSI MGA qualifier this past weekend, and were able to notch an impressive 16-4 win over Front before eventually falling to The Quest in a close match. The team have also already clinched the second seed in the ESEA Proving Grounds after falling to LiViD in the finals while playing with "sus" as a stand-in.
Variance's roster now looks like this:
- Justin "FaNg" Coakley
- Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak
- Bilal "SPAMMER" Ali
- Erick "Xeppaa" Bach
- Brendan "Bwills" Williams
- Anhduy "nguyen" Nguyen (Coach)
- Huthaifa "blitzz" Khan (Analyst)
Variance have yet to officially announce the two new additions, but their ESEA page indicates that they have joined on a long term basis.
