NA vs. Brazil in ECL S43 grand final
The ESL Challenger League Season 43 North America is reaching its end as yesterday decided which team will face EG Black in the grand final of the competition.
MIBR and oNe faced each other for the third time in this iteration of the league and the second during the playoffs. The Made in Brazil squad had lost 2-0 during the regular season but during the playoffs, the team managed to apply that same match score twice, with the last encounter between the teams deciding who goes to the final series.
oNe was making a good run in the lower bracket after finding themselves there due to a 2-0 loss against MIBR in the upper bracket semifinal. In the lower bracket, the Brazilians won 2-0 against Iron Blood, and then 2-1 against ATK.
MIBR fell to that side after losing 2-0 against EG Black in the upper bracket final, having previously won 2-1 against ATK, and 2-0 against oNe. The squad barely made it to the playoffs, but once there, it looked amazing.
The series between the Brazilians started off balanced, as oNe managed to get an 8-7 lead on the CT-side of Ancient. The second half of the map started another story, as MIBR managed a 9-1 run to close the map 16-9. After that debacle, oNe lost gas, and Inferno was quick work for Breno "brnz4n" Poletto and company, as they won the map 16-6, getting a shot at revenge from EG Black and a shot at clinching a spot in the ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference.
The match between EG Black and MIBR will start at 07:00PM and will be the final series of the ECL S43 North America. The next iteration of the competition is scheduled to begin in the second half of January.
