Nifty returns with new roster
Former Envy AWPer Noah "Nifty" Francis has, after nearly two years away from the server, announced his return to active competition with a new project roster made up of ECL and Advanced players called 4ORMULA.
4ORMULA's origins are based around the PreGaming squad Nifty offered to coach and teach during ESEA Advanced Season 43. After that team wrapped up their season with a 6-8 record, Nifty seemingly elected to take a more active role in the squad, becoming the team's IGL while retaining Nolan "Louie" Herges and Josh "Joshy" Reynolds to build a new roster around. Importantly, the decision to retain these players also allows 4ORMULA to start in ESEA Advanced straight away rather than having to start in ESEA Open like many project rosters are relegated to doing.
The last two pieces of this roster, Marco "Pol0" Hernandez and Johnny "JDubs" Wu, link up with Nifty and co. after their own rosters dissolved last season. Pol0 was previously a part of Brazen before college broke that squad apart while JDubs was last seen playing with Got Juice in ESEA Advanced Season 43 playoffs.
JDubs told Dust2.us that 4ORMULA's main goal are to try and qualify to the BLAST.tv Paris Major. While this is an incredibly lofty goal, it will be interesting to see what Nifty can do after years without a proper team. Whether this roster is a success or not it, it could be a stepping stone for Nifty to return to the upper echelons of the semi-pro scene.
4ORMULA are:
-
Noah "Nifty" Francis
-
Marco "Pol0" Hernandez
-
Johnny "JDubs" Wu
-
Nolan "Louie" Herges
-
Josh "Joshy" Reynolds
4ORMULA will be making their debut in today's ESEA Autumn Cash Cup 7 when it starts at 05:00PM.
