Dignitas fe add Theia
Following numerous stand-in appearances with the team, Dignitas fe have announced that Melisa "Theia" Mundorff has joined them on a permanent basis.
Theia previously played with a mix of Dignitas players under the Star Spangled Fraggers tag at the WESG USA 2018 Female Finals, with the team quickly enlisting her as a stand-in for their ESEA Main roster after releasing Catherine "Cath" Leroux. A handful of Theia's first matches with Dignitas fe saw them fall in narrow fashion, but once the team stabilized they found themselves able to rally back to secure a playoff berth with a 10-6 record.
At DreamHack Showdown, Theia helped to power her team to a playoff berth by securing wins over Orange.Sphynx and Copenhagen Flames, with the team's losses coming from a narrow 23-25 fall to Demise fe in the group stage and a crushing semifinal defeat at the hands of Julia "juliano" Kiran's Besiktas lineup that went on to defeat CLG Red to take the trophy.
Shortly after their elimination, Lynnie "artStar" Noquez took to Twitter to announce that Theia was "their newest member" and that she "AIN'T [sic] temporary". Dust2.us knows that the team had not finalized the signing at the time, resulting in a delay before the official announcement was made.
With the addition of Theia, Dignitas fe's roster now looks as follows:
- Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido
- Lynnie "artStar" Noquez
- Amanda "rain" Smith
- Kiara "milk" Makua
- Melisa "Theia" Mundorff
- David "Xp3" Garrido (Coach)
This Dignitas roster was set to face off against Best Team in Main (now inevitable Loyalty) in Season 31 Main playoffs, but they forfeited due to still being in Valencia for DreamHack Showdown.
Since then, the team placed second to Drove Here From Cali at NCS Major Denver. Theia's first event officially on the roster will be Fragadelphia 13 in Huntington Beach, California on September 13th.
