ESL Impact Katowice open qualifiers are here
ESL Impact Katowice will be the first major event of the ESL Impact season, finally returning to Poland after the Intel Challenge Katowice was last held in 2019.
The main stage of the tournament will feature eight teams, of which four have already been confirmed through direct invites, with CLG Red being in that group.
In order to reach the group stage, players will have to fight through open qualifiers and a closed qualifier. The first open qualifier in North America starts tomorrow and the most recent ESEA Cash Cup winners, Please Send Bocks will be present, alongside their opponents seasonal affective disorder, as well as EG Gold, Valkyries, and three more squads Saints, Supremacy FEM, and We Dem Gurlz.
Will Jenny "sunnypp" Nova and seasonal affective disorder be able to get revenge from Please Send Bocks? Will EG Gold claim a spot in the closed qualifier right away or will they leave it for the second day? It seems that Valkyries and We Dem Gurlz have little hope of winning the first qualifier, seeing that both teams are already listed on the second qualifier's page on ESEA's website, alongside KingKillers.
The first ESL Impact Katowice 2023 North America Open Qualifier starts today at 08:00PM, with registrations closing 15 minutes before. The second qualifier will start on Friday with the same schedule. Registrations for the first qualifier can be found here, while registrations for the second qualifier can be found here.
The closed qualifier will be played on Sunday, the 18th, and will only have one game to decide which team goes to Katowice. That game will start at 08:00PM.
