Nouns take down tournament favorites
Nouns have booked a ticket to the CCT NA Series 2 grand finals, taking down top dog Complexity in the process. Kicking off the match on Nouns' pick of Mirage, the game was constantly back-and-forth to begin as neither side was able to string together more than three rounds in the first half. Complexity kept the game close on their CT-side, however they fell flat on their T-side, allowing Nouns to come out ahead and take map one 16-11.
During this opening match, Rick "floppy" Kemery put up an uncharacteristically poor performance as he only found eleven kills and 47.4 ADR, leading to a 0.47 rating. On the other side of the equation, Bobby "stamina" Eitrem posted a masive 1.47 Rating with 25 kills, 102.9 ADR, and 81.5% KAST as he guided his squad to the 16-11 map victory.
Overpass should have been the opportunity to level the ground for Complexity and in their T-side they immediately took control of the match. With floppy bouncing back and the rest of the team firing, the Dallas-based team were able to stretch the opening lead to 10-5 and looked to be on their way to forcing a third map.
However, it wasn't meant to be as the Complexity squad were fight back against a dominant David "cynic" Polster in the second half. Leading his team to an incredible comeback, Nouns would only concede three rounds in the second half on their T-side before taking Complexity down 16-2.
With the massive scalp of Complexity out of the way, Nouns move on to face off against paiN to try and secure the CCT NA Series 2 first-place prize and get crucial points for the first LAN finals event in 2023.
