Brazil fail to find success in Rotterdam
The group stage of the ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 is coming to the end and the news isn't good if you are a Brazilian fan. With both Fluxo and oNe in the same group it was a long shot to have the two teams qualifying for the semi-finals, especially with the other teams in the group being ENCE and Outsiders.
Things started off poorly for the Brazilian teams. Fluxo nearly took down Outsiders in the BO1 game. The Russians needed overtime to take care of the business. For oNe, ENCE proved to be too much of a challenge and the team didn't get close to contesting the game.
With both teams down 0-1, they faced each other in the game to give the only Brazilian winner of the tournament. Fluxo took the 2-1 win over oNe in a series where Matheus "pesadelo" Panisset managed to get 76 kills.
After that loss, oNe, who have recently joined forces with Brazil's second biggest organization Los Grandes, were out of the competition, while Fluxo had one last chance of making it to the next stage after Outsiders lost against ENCE.
The teams faced off once again in Dust2, where their BO1 had taken place the day prior, and map one needed overtime once again, with the Russians getting the same result. Map 2 was Outsiders' pick of Inferno, where, after an 8-7 first half, Fluxo went missing. The series ended there, with the Brazilians losing 16-8.
Both Brazilian teams are now out of ESL Challenger Rotterdam. Fluxo's next tournament is the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 North America, starting in just four days. Meanwhile oNe is getting ready to face Nouns in the quarter-finals of the ESL Challenger League Season 42 on Wednesday at 08:00PM.
