FURIA paint O PLANO red in arT masterpiece
FURIA were looking to bounce back against their Brazilian counterparts after dropping a surprise loss against Evil Genuises. While O PLANO were left looking to prove themselves after a win against Team oNe. The fight would take place on Mirage, a positive for O PLANO as the side house a 100% record on it, whilst FURIA only sport a 40% win record on the map (against much better opposition).
The pistol round set the pace for the matchup where despite O PLANO having full control of the round, Andrei "arT" Piovezan
slipped into the bombsite and managed a ninja defuse to set Vito "kNgV" Giuseppe's head-spinning early.
This was followed up by the next six rounds and with arT securing an ace shutting down a B contact play FURIA established dominance in the match-up. The rounds kept racking up including a 2v3 win where FURIA managed to trap the bomb in TV room mid-rotate.
It looked like an absolute mismatch and FURIA continued to put the O PLANO team in their place, cruising to a 13-0 scoreline. It was a display of a clear mismatch in class and a masterful performance from arT contributed to one of the easiest wins a team can dream of.
kNgV's team finally managed to put a round on the board in the fourteenth, some well-placed flashes led to them overwhelming the B site. It would be the only round the team were able to put up in the half though as returning to the B site in the follow-up led to some embarrassingly misplaced nades leaving them sitting ducks in Apartments.
O PLANO managed to find the pistol round but FURIA danced their way through the defence on their force buy to secure match point. FURIA impressed to show that the EG loss was a mere misstep, and arT is certainly proving his chops at the event.
