More Variance as KmZ departs, Powerzz returns
Ezekiel "KmZ" Hughes has left Variance, the player announced last night.
When contacted by Dust2.us, KmZ would not elaborate on loving "most of" the team, only saying that two players were not included in the warm feelings.
Earlier in the night, KmZ and Variance had suffered a 16-2 mauling at the hands of Bad News Bears. The team fielded former member/backup Stoyno "neska" Atanasov in place of recent addition Erick "Xeppaa" Bach, seemingly due to the latter's unreliable internet.
According to the team's ESEA page, they have already found KmZ's replacement in the form of returning member George "Powerzz" Yaede, which Dust2.us has confirmed. The player was previously moved to a backup position on the team prior to the start of Season 31. Dust2.us has also learned that with KmZ's exit, Huthaifa "blitzz" Khan will return to the team as coach, though he doesn't seem so sure.
Variance's roster is now:
- Justin "FaNg" Coakley
- Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak
- Bilal "SPAMMER" Ali
- Erick "Xeppaa" Bach
- George "Powerzz" Yaede
- Huthaifa "blitzz" Khan (Coach???)
The team are currently 2-6 in their freshman MDL campaign, and failed to notch a single win in WINNERS League. Now, after the departure of their best statistical player, the team are set to face Polar Ace and Thunder Logic later this week in MDL.
UPDATE: Variance have taken to Twitter to announce that while they are allowing KmZ "to explore other options at this time", the player has not been released by the organization.
