ESL Impact is back for a new season
The biggest women's competition in Counter-Strike's history is back for season 2. The competition is divided into two parts, the regional divisions and the LAN final. The division stage features two groups of four teams, with a best-of-three double round-robin format, from which the top two teams from each group advance to a best-of-three single elimination bracket where both of the series winners advance to the LAN final in Jönköping, Sweden.
Counter Logic Gaming Red is expected to make it to Sweden after being the most consistent team out of NA, as well as the team with the best results. CLG Red will debut a new lineup, after changing three players. The team will field Vivienne "BiBiAhn" Qauch, Coline "Kaoday" Le Floc'h, and Marissa "madss" Dasta for the first time alongside Kelsie "uhKelsie" Click and the team's face Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie.
Recently, the North American women's CS:GO welcomed a new organization in the form of an Evil Geniuses women's roster. This team features the core from Please Send Help, who managed to qualify for the season 1 LAN final with CLG Red. During their time in Dallas, Please Send Help only managed to win one game, but with the help of a big org such as EG, here's hoping the players only need to focus on their game and can defeat their opposition.
The remaining six teams from NA are: Please Send Bocks, Valkyries, Saints, Hot flash, Reversal, and ECHO.
Last time around, CLG Red fell in the semi-final against FURIA Female after going undefeated in the group stage. FURIA would go on to lose in the final against Nigma Galaxy Female. BIG Equipa was the other team playing in the season 1 LAN finals, and they managed to win a map from the would-be champions.
The North American division games will start at 08:30PM, on ESL_CSGO_GG.
