motm announces departure from Singularity
Following their 0-2 loss to FURIA tonight, Ian "motm" Hardy took to Twitter to announce that he has parted ways with Singularity.
motm originally joined the team back in January alongside Gage "Infinite" Green. During his two-and-a-half month tenure with the team, Singularity claimed a first-place finish at the ECS Season 7 Pinnacle Cup, overcoming FURIA 2-1 to secure the top seed for the ECS regular season.
Additionally, Singularity attended its first international LAN, WESG 2018. After advancing out of their three-team group following a quick win over Vietnamese team Revolution, Singularity exited the tournament during the round of 16 following a close loss to Serbian team Valiance.
To replenish their roster, Dust2.us has learned that Singularity intend to trial Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman. Shakezullah is currently a member of Chris and the boys, however recent Tweets from Gabe "Spongey" Greiner and Jake "kaboose" McDonald suggest that changes may be coming to that squad. Shakezullah is expected to make his debut performance with Singularity in the Mythic Cup on Saturday.
As of now, Singularity has the following roster:
- Joshua "oSee" Ohm
- Cameron "hydrex" Kern
- Ryan "ryann" Welsh
- Ricky "floppy" Kemery
- Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman (Trial)
- Jared "MAC-1" Schneider (coach)
Coming into the off-season, Singularity have time to determine whether they want to retain Shakezullah on a long-term basis. The team are still slated to play in the previously mentioned Mythic Cup, along with the recently announced WINNERS League Season 2: Invite Division.
