FACEIT adds coach support for team leagues
Milos Nedeljkovic, Partnerships and FPL Circuit manager at FACEIT, revealed on Friday morning that the platform has, at long last, added support for coaches. The feature is one of few that has been requested time and time again by players, most notably during online qualifiers that FACEIT have hosted.
The news comes soon after the Season 2 announcement for WINNERS League, a FACEIT-based team league that already debuted in Europe and is now open to North America. According to a tweet by another FACEIT employee, it appears that the coach slot feature will only work on the platform's team leagues and not in their tournaments.
This means that while coaches will be available in WINNERS League matches as well as other team leagues, the much-requested feature will not be available in qualifiers run on FACEIT.
The starter division of WINNERS League will begin on April 3rd, while the invite division kicks off a day earlier, on April 2nd. Signups for the starter division remain open until April 2nd.
