Touch Point announces new trio alongside rebrand
Touch Point announced their new roster on Twitter today, alongside an organizational rebrand ahead of ESEA Advanced Season 41. The previous roster found notable success in the regular season, posting a 10-4 record throughout, but failed to carry that success into the post-season. Their 1-2 playoff record resulted in a quick exit and eventually a rebuilding around the dynamic duo of Brett “Beastman” Eastman and Nikolaos “PoseidoNN” Antoniou.
The search took just over a month, but the team found solace in bringing in fellow Advanced talents Matthew "Livid" Surma and Jordan "rezy1on" Smith. The two teammates played together under the OIL TEAM moniker last year, where the team finished the regular season with a modest 9-5 record to earn a place in the playoffs. Their playoff run operated on a similar fate as their new team's, earning a record of 2-2 before exiting from championship contention.
Touch Point dug deeper into the ESEA talent pool to round out their roster, fielding Main player zim. The 24-year-old spent last season as a part of the OurSavedSouls lineup, where he posted 98 ADR and 1.02 frags per round over the eight played matches. Despite his impressive performances, his team missed Main playoffs with an 8-6 record, ending their season. After a sound season, the young talent received the call up to Advanced and will aim to make the most of the big opportunity.
Ahead of its eighth straight season inside of ESEA Advanced, the Touch Point organization appears more focused than ever to achieve new heights inside of the North American league. Accompanying their major refresh in talent is an overhaul of the branding, suggesting that the organization is ready to turn a corner inside of competitive Counter-Strike.
Touch Point's roster is now:
-
Brett “Beastman” Eastman
-
Nikolaos “PoseidoNN” Antoniou
-
Matthew "Livid" Surma
-
Jordan "rezy1on" Smith.
-
Emiliano "zim" Zarza
The new Touch Point roster has just a few days to prepare for Season 41 of ESEA Advanced beginning April 25th.
