Eros dive into ESEA Advanced Season 41 with new lineup
Eros have announced the signing of a new roster that will be representing the organization in the upcoming season of ESEA Advanced. This comes after their previous lineup disbanded following a disappointing showing in ESL Challenger League Season 40 which resulted in the squad's subsequent relegation.
The bulk of this new roster is built around the former Fourth Quarter core of James "Gonzo" Madden, Justin "Luck" Hopkins, and Sebastian "Seb" Dietrich. The trio join Eros after a relatively uninspiring campaign through ESEA Advanced Season 40, posting a 7-7 regular-season record and consequently missing out on a spot in the playoffs. This middling performance continued in their appearances in standalone events too, with their best highlight being a fourth-round exit in the first ESEA Spring Cash Cup last month after being taken down by Strife.
Eros' next recruit comes in the form of Dylan "Irish" Frericks who joins his new home on the back of a three-month stint with UGK. During his tenure, Irish managed to help UGK to their own modest 7-7 record in ESEA Advanced Season 40 while also suffering early exits in a handful of ESEA Cash Cup attempts. Despite this, the squad did manage to secure a 9th-12th place finish at Fragadelphia 16: The Big L after failing to make it out of groups in the main event.
Rounding out Eros' new project is Brendan "Melloh" Mello who returns to the server after a brief one-season hiatus. Despite this break, Melloh is by far Eros' most experienced player, with the 22-year-old having played in ESEA Premier with Big Chillin across ESEA Seasons 36–39. Throughout his six-month period with the roster, Melloh averaged a 0.82 rating across 45 maps whilst also helping the team to a 9th-12th placing at Fragadelphia 15 back in September.
Eros will be moving forward with:
