UPDATE: Infinite departs Bad News Bears, RZU returns
After Bad News Bears fielded Jeff "RZU" Ngo in their debut ECS Season 7 Pinnacle Cup matchup against Zone, Dust2.us was informed that Gage "Infinite" Green had parted ways with the team to pursue a new opportunity. The 20-year old joined the team just over two weeks ago as part of a six-man roster after stepping down from Singularity due to a "divergence in personalities."
RZU has played in almost all of the team's ESEA MDL matches thus far, helping to maintain the Bad News Bears league slot by playing the requisite first eight matches. Dust2.us knows that RZU will now join on a permanent basis, completing the team's roster for the remainder of MDL Season 30. His return to Bad News Bears in place of Infinite has already resulted in a 16-8 win over Denial in MDL on Monday, and granted the team a 1-0 start in the ECS Season 7 Pinnacle Cup Swiss system with a 2-0 win over Zone last night.
Bad News Bears complete lineup now once again looks as follows:
- Tyson "TenZ" Ngo
- Peter "ptr" Gurney
- Josh "shinobi" Abastado
- Mitch "mitch" Semago
- Jeff "RZU" Ngo
Bad News Bears are currently 8-2 in ESEA MDL Season 30, sitting in fifth place overall as the final week of play draws near. A gamut of matches await the team this month as they have 12 days to complete their remaining seven MDL matches while simultaneously competing in the ECS Season 7 Pinnacle Cup this week, with their match against Singularity currently underway.
UPDATE: The article has been updated to reflect that, while there were issues within the team, Infinite left of his own accord, and in fact stood-in for his now former team last night in the ECS Season 7 Pinnacle Cup.
