VAULT's Daveys hangs up his mice and keyboard

Daveys retires after disappointing Vault season

Having been ever-present for the team since 2017, Daveys has announced his retirement at the end of the season.

Santiago "Daveys" Galvis has announced he has retired from competitive CS:GO to focus on returning to university. Daveys has made the announcement after Vault failed to retain their MDL spot in the relegation tournament.

In his Twitlonger, Daveys announces that he had played his final game both with the team and competitively, adding that "it didn't end the way (he) wanted to" due to failing to retain the team's spot in MDL, having been acquired after a journey from Season 22 of Open. The Twitlonger continued with offering thanks to his teammates from the past season and beyond.

Towards the end of the season, lanhero was called up from his substitute role to replace Jesús "sam_A" Taboada after the player had to focus on studying towards the end of the year. This meant lanhero played in five of the final six games of the season, as well as competed in the team's doomed relegation run.

This means VAULT's roster remains as:

  • Andres "spamzzy" Correa
  • Juanes "sickLy" Valencia
  • Guatemala Javier "cruzN" Cruz
  • United States Alex "lanhero" Suarez (Substitute)
  • Aldair "alone" Torres (Coach)
  •  Jesus "sam_A" Taboada (Inactive)

Vault are set to compete in ESEA Advanced for Season 30 after their relegation. It is not known if they will find the new home they have been seeking after the recent occurrences.
