Luminosity ain't afraid of no Ghost; to Atlanta grand final
The first semifinal of DreamHack Atlanta has concluded, with Luminosity triumphing over Ghost 2-1 (10-16 Train, 16-10 Dust II, 16-14 Inferno). The Brazilian side have secured their spot in the grand final and will face the winner of compLexity vs Vitality.
The first map Train was the pick of Luminosity, and after dropping the pistol and first few rounds, the Brazilian side controlled the CT side and put up a 7-5 lead. However, Ghost managed to pull it back and edge the half 8-7. The Canadian/American side put their foot down on their Counter-Terrorist side and with Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik at the helm, Ghost closed out Train.
Ghost got a very strong start on Dust II, going up 6-1 before Luminosity could answer back with a string of round wins. However, despite losing their CT half 6-9, Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles stepped up big for his team, and helped lead Luminosity to a 10-1 Terrorist half, taking the map and tying the series.
On the decider Inferno, Ghost got the early lead, going up 6-1 on their T side. The Brazilians answered back though, and took seven rounds leading to an 8-7 half time score for them. Once again in the second half, Ghost took a big lead, putting up 13 rounds to LG's 8. However, Luminosity weren't ready to give up yet, and fought back. With the 25 frags of Henrique "HEN1" Teles, LG managed to close out the match 16-14 and the series 2-1.
Luminosity now move on to the grand final where they will face the winner of compLexity vs Vitality later today.
