kioShiMa replaces Skadoodle on Cloud9's ESEA roster
With the WESA Transfer Deadling looming this evening, 5 PM EST, Cloud9 have made and submitted a roster move just in time. The move sees Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham removed from the ESEA roster, to be replaced by recent stand-in Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey, with the latter hinting at a potential move on November 10th. This would corroborate a report from November 6th on VPEsports, which indicated as much.
kioShiMa acted as a stand-in for Cloud9's recent jaunt at BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen, where they finished fifth after taking just two wins in the group, against FaZe and MIBR. Cloud9 also managed to take down Astralis in the Pro Standoff, where the Frenchman won his 1v1 against Emil "Magisk" Reif.
His performance in Denmark would appear to offer kioShiMa a longer spell in the Cloud9 roster, as the team return to North America for the culmination of the ESL Pro League where they have a narrow shot at qualifying for the LAN Finals in Odense. It is currently unclear if kioShiMa would become the permanent fifth of Cloud9 at this time.
The WESA transfer deadline comes into force at 5 PM EST two days before the final matches of the ESL Pro League are scheduled, as per rule 1.6 of the WESA Transfer Regulations.
If the move became permanent, this would mean that Cloud9's roster is as follows:
- Timothy "autimatic" Ta
- Will "RUSH" Wierzba
- Maikil "Golden" Selim
- Robin "flusha" Rönnquist
- Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey
- Soham "valens" Chowdhury (Coach)
Cloud9 will next be in action tomorrow evening with kioShiMa at 5:10 PM EST in the ESL Pro League, against Ghost.
