iNTACT part ways with Noxio
Sitting at 4th place in the ESEA standings, 7-2 Advanced roster iNTACT have announced via Twitter they're letting go of 19-year-old Sam "Noxio" Goodwin from the active roster. The team will use their coach Rich "Rich" Sylvestri in the meantime will be looking for a new 5th member.
iNTACT found prominent success in Main in Season 28 as they went undefeated in the regular season, and found themselves losing just a single map in the playoffs on the way to a championship. Upon joining the Advanced division, the team continued their map dominance starting with a 7-0 record.
Noxio and co. lost their second map in 35 maps to the Brazilian moveup FURIA, and quickly followed the map with another loss to Masked, a team featuring the likes of former MDL talent Dion "Bl4ckiice" Mckenzie and Joshua "Hunter" Madore.
When contacted by Dust2.us, Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman had the following to say about the roster change:
Noxio was removed from the starting five due to a role conflict that we were not able to solve. During this season, we asked him to move toward the dedicated entry fragger role. He put in ample time and effort to try and support the team in any way we needed, but unfortunately we did not feel as if progress was being made fast enough. His attitude was terrific and I could not have asked for a better teammate. Wish him nothing but the best.
With the subtraction, the roster will look as such:
- Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman
- Michael "Turismo" Haas
- Christopher "Swahn" Swahn
- Ali "optimus" Mashhour
- Rich "Rich" Sylvestri (Coach/Stand-in)
iNTACT wasn't able to get the ball rolling in the USA online playoffs of WESG as Rich subbed in for Shakezullah. The next matches for the roster will be up against the #1 Advanced team blitz reborn, French Canadian squad Grizzlys, and newly re-configured Final Feature.
Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak has been spotted as being signed up with the team for the first IEM Katowice 2019 qualifier, and has also joined the team's ESEA roster.
