Renegades go more Oceanic, confirm liazz and Gratisfaction
Renegades have officially confirmed the additions of Australian Jay "liazz" Tregillgas and New Zealander Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai to their team in anticipation of the new competitive season.
The pair were initially added to the team's ESEA roster page a few days ago, right on the WESA transfer deadline. The two come from two of Oceania's strongest teams, ORDER and Grayhound, as Renegades look to bring up talent from the region they were known for.
They replace Noah "Nifty" Francis and Karlo "USTILO" Pivac after a disappointing few events in the past six months, falling in the group stage in all tournaments apart from their Asia Minor win and a quarterfinal finish at IEM Sydney. Renegades' announcement post also suggested that a coach to replace the outgoing Steve "Ryu" Rattacasa will be announced in the near future.
Renegades' roster is now as follows:
- Aaron "AZR" Ward
- Justin "jks" Savage
- Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
- Jay "liazz" Tregillgas
- Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai
The team's first match with the new roster will be in the ESL Pro League, where they'll play against eUnited on October 2nd at 6 PM EDT.
