Success at IEM, as CeRq helps his team to another trophy

NRG lift IEM Shanghai trophy in 2-0 win over TyLoo

A fairly one-sided final saw the North American team take the IEM trophy.

Last night, whilst Fragadelphia was coming to a close, IEM Shanghai was finishing up on the other side of the planet. The final saw the Americans of NRG taking on the home-town team of TyLoo.

The two teams began on Overpass, and it was the Chinese team who started off strong with the CT-side pistol. From there the two teams shared the best of the first half, with TyLoo taking a narrow 8-7 lead at the break. The second half was all NRG, however, with the team taking all but one round of the half to take a 16-9 victory, with Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte once again topping the tables on the server.

Next up was Mirage, where NRG was far and ahead the leading team on the server. From the start they were in control only losing two rounds in the first half to storm to a 13-2 lead at halftime. The second half was over in three rounds, as NRG won 16-3. Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov was the out-and-out performer this time around, taking a 2.43 rating after reaching 29 kills. This marks NRG's first LAN title win, and their best performance since taking second place at StarSeries i-League Season 5 in June.
