FURIA announce Miami move
In an extremely lengthy Portuguese TwitLonger entitled "See you later, Brazil!", FURIA coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira has revealed that he and his team will be moving to Miami, Florida. The move will come after the team competes at the ZOTAC Cup Masters Americas Regionals in California, and the FACEIT Major Americas Minor in London.
The coach also went over the nearly year-long history of the squad, from their founding, to trials and tribulations, to clashes with fellow Brazilian sides NTC, Sharks, and Virtue for various international appearances.
The team's most notable recent achievement would be claiming first place at GG.BET Ascensão over the aforementioned teams. They will be hopeful that their upcoming international performances coupled with the United States move can send them spiralling up to new heights.
One can imagine they will look to follow the model of the South Africans of Bravado, who moved to the States and made their way to ESEA MDL just a season later — one step away from the ESL Pro League. They will be the fourth Brazilian team residing in the country, following SK, Luminosity, and oNe.
FURIA's roster is as follows:
- Guilherme "spacca" Spacca
- Yuri "yuurih" Gomes
- Andrei "arT" Piovezan
- Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
- Kaike "kscerato" Cerato
- Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira (Coach)
guerri and FURIA depart on June 25th to head to California. The ZOTAC Cup Masters Americas Regionals is set to take place from June 30 to July 1, and will send one team to Hong Kong for the Grand Finals.
