Ghost look to overhaul roster with Torqued trio
After a week in which Torqued have seen ex-iBUYPOWER members Braxton "swag" Pierce and Keven "AZK" Lariviere depart the squad, Dust2.us can now report that there is considerably more to the story.
Currently engaged with the remaining Torqued trio (as well as coach James "JamezIRL" Macaulay) are ESL Pro League side Ghost Gaming, who managed to maintain their spot in the league by the smallest of margins last season.
Making their way out of the team would be long-time member Sebastian "seb" Bucki and in-game leader Andy "vSa" Xu, who helped turn the team around last season after getting off to a dismal start under Connor "CONNOR93" Glover. It is not currently known what the status and future of seb and vSa with the organization will be.
Ghost's prospective roster figures to be:
- Matthew "Wardell" Bowman
- Yassine "Subroza" Taofik
- Matt "Pollo" Wilson
- Joshua "steel" Nissan
- Kenneth "koosta" Suen
- James "JamezIRL" Macaulay (Coach)
Josh "steel" Nissan has experience playing with both of the legacy Ghost members. He teamed up with Wardell and Bee's Money Crew at Fragadelphia 11, and with Subroza in CyberPowerPC's Winter event.
The move would leave uncertain the fate of the MDL spot currently held by Torqued, as the departing threesome would potentially drop out in anticipation of playing in the next season of ESL Pro League. It is also possible that the spot could be maintained by swag and AZK.
Likewise, the new Ghost roster would be assumed to be heading to ESL One Belo Horizonte, in the spot that Torqued qualified for.
