karanni reborn as Dfany; drops his first mix tape and his career in CS:GO
Gianni "karanni" Dfana recently announced his indefinite retirement from CS:GO on the ESEA forums:
Sooo yea basically I quit this game because I wanna pursue my dream in making music and I met a lot of cool ass people along the way I tried to love the game like I did before but didn’t find the same fun in it.
It's been a rough season for karanni and his now ex-teammates of Most Wanted. Their journey began with countless roster changes that included the likes of Alexander "retrQ" Kadan, Chris "draWsouL" Drossel and even karanni himself, being replaced by Mert "REOVA" Bayrak for a short period before his later return. The teams inability to stabilize their roster early on likely contributed to their going 0-5 before being able to secure a win in the season.
With what was, at the time, a failing roster, coupled with the team being unable to find an organization to financially support them, karanni found himself at odds with his future in the Counter Strike and his passion for music. Shortly after leaving the roster a second and final time, karanni made his decision to hang up his hat for good.
Since his announcement, karanni has rebranded himself as Dfany and recently released his first full-length music video with fellow artist Jayvee:
The duo have already produced several songs, including a short EP titled Mixed Emotions, which can be found on their SoundCloud. We wish him the best of luck in his musical endeavors and hope to see him again soon.
