ECS Season 5 Closed Qualifier comes to an end
The final day of the ECS Season 5 North American Closed Qualifiers completed last night, meaning the final teams set to compete in the Challenger Cup are confirmed.
The games kicked off with Bravado upsetting newly promoted ESL Pro League side Dignitas in three maps, resulting in the freshly imported South Africans getting a shot at ECS. LFAO had their run ended by TeamOne 2-1, over three extremely close maps.
The other two matches saw BlackOut take down their MDL compatriots Mask Off 2-1, while Rogue took the same scoreline over Etherian.
These results mean that the Challenger Cup lineup looks like:
compLexity | Ghost | Rise Nation | Splyce |
BlackOut | Bravado | Rogue | TeamOne |
With CLG's fate still undetermined, the top two placing teams in the Challenger Cup will qualify for ECS Season 5. The event will run between March 2nd-4th.
