First day of ECS Season 5 Closed Qualifier complete
The first day of the ECS Season 5 Closed Qualifier is complete and tomorrow will determine who moves on to the Challenger Cup.
Day one saw the new Mythic lineup with James "hazed" Cobb fall 2-0 to the bottom of the pack MDL squad LFAO, who themselves have been plagued by roster changes. The rest of the day's matches were par for the course with Etherian taking down Wise andBlackOut triumphing over F1-racecar-PEEK.
International squads Bravado and TeamOne both came out on top against Iceberg and mix team 2K, respectively.
On Day two, we will see the victors of day one take on the likes of Dignitas, Mask Off, and Rogue, who all received free passes in the first round.

The victors of each quarterfinal will advance to the ECS Season 5 Challenger Cup, where they will compete alongside the invited teams for (at least) two slots in the next season of ECS.
