ECS Season 5 Closed Qualifier and Challenger Cup details revealed; Immortals withdraw
The schedule for the upcoming ECS Season 5 Closed Qualifiers has been announced. Thirteen teams will be taking part in the qualifier, with the top four teams qualifying for the the Challenger Cup.
Notably, three of the teams who qualified through the open qualifiers were invited straight into the Challenger Cup. These were compLexity, Splyce and Rise Nation, who join Ghost. Immortals, who were originally slated to take part, have forfeited their spot due to being unable to field a roster.
The first round games for the Closed Qualifier on Saturday will be:

Dignitas, Mask Off and Rogue all received byes to the second round of the qualifier on Sunday, from which the top four will make the Challenger Cup.

As of now, the top two teams from the Challenger Cup will qualify for ECS Season 5. The fate of CLG's spot is still up in the air, as the organization currently has no roster, and may follow a similar path as Immortals. The teams that qualify will join the likes of Cloud9, Liquid and SK in the next season.
