NTN to Misfits deal dead; organization set to abandon CS:GO
Roger Caneda, the current General Manager of Mavs Gaming, and the former Manager of the Argentinian/Mexican squad during their time in Gale Force, announced earlier that the team would not be signing with Misfits, as previously reported.
According to sources close to the team, a majority of the team had verbally agreed to terms with the organization. But after the delay caused by a minority membership of the team, they were informed that the offers had been retracted, and that Misfits have opted to step away from CS:GO on the whole.
No Tenemos Nada are currently participating in ESEA MDL Season 27, with the majority of the squad playing from Argentina. If they are unable to find sponsorship soon, they may themselves withdraw from North America's top league below the Professional division.
Even if Misfits do pull out of CS:GO, we have not seen the end of this saga, as there is still the matter of what will become of the organization's spot in the ESL Pro League — though if they do not field a team, it would likely fall to the players who formerly represented them.
Further complicating this outcome though, is the fact that the French duo of David "devoduvek" Dobrosavljevic and François "AmaNEk" Delaunay remain under contract with the team for several more months.
