WESG Day One: Cloud9 go flawless, subtLe winless
The first day of matches have concluded in the WESG North American finals, which are now being played online, and will grant multiple spots to the World Finals in China.
The first day featured lots of MDL on MDL action, which, let's face it, these results are anyone's guess. However, FRENCH CANADIANS were dominant, while subtLe wilted. Cloud9, continuing their Major form, bashed SK on Inferno on their way to a 3-0 start.

With five out of six teams from this online event headed to China, seeding is critical. Cloud9 are currently sitting pretty at the top, while Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien friends are anything but. The top four teams will advance to a single-elimination bracket, primarily playing for prize money, whereas the bottom two teams will fight for that last spot to China.
The WESG North America standings after day one are:

Over in the female tournament, it's Those Damn Canadians who are off to a perfect start. Although CLG Red were looking to securely take their opener, with a 10-0 lead, the Canadians rallied together and secured the majority of the remaining match to go take it 16-14. CLG Red didn't let defeat knock them down too long, with dominant victories over their other opponents.
