NertZ thinks Liquid can reach Spirit and Vitality's level

Liquid reached the playoffs for the first time in 2025 after defeating 3DMAX in the final game of ESL Pro League Season 21 Stage 2. This relieves the squad, especially Guy "NertZ" Iluz, who joined at the start of the year with high ambitions.

HLTV's reporter Aaron "KingDempz" Dempsey caught up with NertZ after the series versus 3DMAX and asked him about Liquid's current form in EPL S21.

I would say we are, at the moment, the whole tournament is maybe 70%. When everyone is hyped and playing, when we have the small details and the communication, the small game plans, in my eyes at least, we will be at the Spirit and Vitality level.

We are not there, as you know Vitality and Spirit are playing really good CS consistently, they are always playing with their A game, and when they have the B games, they are still going really far. We need also to figure out how we like to play as a team, we are changing a lot of stuff, but I believe we will get there as soon as possible.

In addition to that, NertZ said throughout the interview that he thinks Liquid can go "really far" in EPL S21 if they play their "A game". EPL is just Liquid's third tournament of the year and they collected some meaningful scalps already like Eternal Fire and MOUZ's.

Liquid will have a big test against Vitality this Friday at 10:45AM in the EPL S21 quarterfinals.
