drop could make his debut in the PGL Bucharest 2025 South America Closed Qualifier.

Brazilian team RED Canids is close to signing the former MIBR IGL André "drop" Abreu, according to a report by Gabriel "PuMbAz" Melo of Dust2.br.

Even though the deal between RED Canids and MIBR hasn't been formally finalized, RED Canids registered drop as a player for the remainder of ESL Challenger League South America Season 49 and PGL Bucharest 2025 SA Closed Qualifier.

According to Dust2.br, the deal should be finalized soon as both organizations already agreed on a transfer fee for drop. The 21-year-old will effectively replace Marcelo "nyezin" Ramos, who was on RED Canids on loan from paiN.

drop has been inactive since February 19th, when he asked MIBR to bench him after lackluster results in the first tournaments of the year. He wrote on X that "things weren't working out" and that he wasn't feeling good, both in-game and outside the game.

drop could debut for RED Canids this Friday, March 7th against América in the PGL Bucharest SA CQ.

This is RED Canids' roster for the PGL Bucharest qualifier and ECL SA S49:

Brazil Carlos "venomzera" Eduardo
Brazil Marcelo "coldzera" David
Brazil Henrique "HEN1" Teles
Brazil João "felps" Vasconcellos
Brazil André "drop" Abreu
Brazil Pedro "betinho" Umberto (Coach)
