Liquid co-CEO defends Twistzz: "We believe he has it in him to be a great IGL"
This morning, Liquid's co-CEO and founder Victor "Nazgul" Goossens responded to Wilton "zews" Prado's take on the organization and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken's influence in it.
Nazgul said that the situation boils down to flawed personal perspectives and people being unwilling to admit to their own shortcomings.
The co-CEO explains that due to this, obtaining an unbiased view of the conflict between Twistzz and Casper "cadiaN" Moller is impossible. "The perspectives from others, including mine, will be 180 degrees opposite on some of these points."
Nazgul detailed that, while Twistzz is a valued voice in the Liquid camp, he is not the one who is deciding contracts or roster moves.
This is in clear contrast to zews' comment on the podcast Snake and Banter: "You're one of the biggest orgs in the world, how the fuck are you run by a kid? That's insane," zews said.
Nazgul believes in Twistzz's ability to be an IGL - completely opposing what zews implied - saying, "We believe he has it in him to be a great IGL. It will take some time for him to perfect this craft but he has what it takes to succeed - an incredibly keen eye for the game and a level of care for his teammates that is crucial for leadership."
