Nouns lose salaries as second DAO proposal fails
Nouns have confirmed that their second proposal to the Nouns DAO has failed, resulting in the team losing their salaries and source of support from the NFT-backed organization. Despite the unfortunate news, Eric "adreN" Hoag confirmed to HLTV that the team intends on sticking together under the Nouns tag, albeit without star rifler Gage "Infinite" Green.
Dust2.us understands that Infinite is set to take an indefinite break from competition due to an unrelated personal tragedy. Infinite was notably missing during Nouns' opening match in CCT Season 2 NA Series 4 playoffs, with the squad fielding former Bad News Bears player Khizar "Momo" Rehman as a stand-in in a 2-0 beatdown against Mythic.
According to HLTV, Nouns requested an emergency substitute to replace Infinite in ESL Challenger League Season 49, however ESL denied the request for an unknown reason that HLTV were unable to ascertain ahead of publication.
Nouns' IGL, Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore, told Dust2.us that the team are holding out hope of a third proposal potentially funding the team, while also seeing if individual DAO members would be interested in supporting the squad.
