StarLadder purchased by Indian TO for $5,500,000+ USD

The money will hopefully help StarLadder increase their tier-one offerings in CS2.

NODWIN Gaming, an Indian tournament organizer founded in 2014, have announced the acquisition of Ukrainian tournament organizer StarLadder for an initial value of $5,500,000, seeing the latter become a wholly owned subsidiary of NODWIN. Along with the initial payment of $5.5m StarLadder's owners also seek to gain additional undisclosed compensation for certain performance targets.

The acquisition sees StarLadder end its 20+ year rin as an independent company, first being founded in 2000 by Roman Romanstov. The company has played a significant role in Counter-Strike history with multiple seasons of StarSeries from 2012 to 2019 while StarLadder also hosted the StarLadder Berlin Major in 2019. While the TO has not hosted any events in CS in some time, they are set to return to the space this year, with rumors suggesting they are set to host the second Valve Major of 2025.

With the purchase, StarLadder is set to continue as an independent company under the auspices of NODWIN, who also work with ESL FACEIT Group and Activision Blizzard in India and Southeast Asia.
