How better is the FAMAS now? See how much Valve buffed the CT rifle
The latest CS2 patch reduced the price of the M4A4 and the FAMAS, though Valve also buffed the FAMAS' accuracy to make the weapon more viable over the growingly popular SMGs, especially the MP9.
While Valve didn't disclose exactly how much they changed the FAMAS standing and crouching accuracy, notable Counter-Strike weapon analyst SlothSquadron released his own findings on January 28th, showing a considerable improvement.
"The changes to the FAMAS's base inaccuracy should greatly improve its reliability when tapping and bursting (just...not in burst-fire mode)," SlothSquadron wrote on Reddit.
"While the benefit will be less felt when spraying due to the extra inaccuracy added from firing, spraying should also be slightly more reliable now."
According to SlothSquadron's latest comparison, the new FAMAS is more accurate than the Galil AR, its Terrorist counterpart. The table below shows SlothSquadron's base inaccuracy values for all rifles, incluing the post-buff and pre-buff FAMAS:

Of course, we're yet to see if any of these buffs are enough to make the FAMAS a viable option for CTs.
In contrast to the FAMAS change, the crouching accuracy for the MP9, MP5-SD, and MP7 has been reduced. But in all honestly, many players use the SMGs to just run and gun.
We'll get a first glimpse of this new patch once IEM Katowice 2025 Stage 2 kicks off on Saturday, February 1.
