Chicken Coop announce $1,000 New Year's Cash Cup

Chicken Coop Esports, a new tournament operator and esports organization founded in August 2024, have announced a $1,000 New Year's Cash Cup set to run from January 11th to January 12th. The event follows the conclusion of last month's Thanksgiving Cash Cup, a $500 event topped by recent ESEA Advanced Season 51 champions Make Your Mind.

The event was initially set to run with a $500 prizepool before the intervention of Copenhagen Wolves' CEO, Jared "Outback" Habib, who offered up $500 to support the tournament in exchange for the event being sponsored by Grip Gel, a "hand gel" company that also sponsors MIGHT.

A number of notable teams have already signed up for the event, including Shimmer, Make Your Mind, Redacted Society, and Revel. Teams interested in signing up may do so here.

With the event set to be one of the first in NA in 2025, it will be interesting to see who else signs up to test their new rosters ahead of the start of the 2025 season.
