ESL Impact scene welcomes new squad

kitsune hopes to qualify for Season 7.

As the women's scene continues to grow in competitiveness, new squads have been forming recently, with kitsune being the most recent one in North America.

Comprised of three former ESL Impact players, the new team will also be competing in ESEA Season 51 leagues, while trying to qualify for ESL Impact Season 7. Their chances to secure a spot in the women's event will come in early 2025, therefore giving the roster plenty of time to refine its game plan.

kitsune marks the return of former Cherry Bombs member Shelby "Shelby" A. to the competition, after participating in Season 5 with cleanup crew. She is joined by other two players with ESL Impact experience, Tig "Rice" Simpson, a former Nouns fe player, and "BunnyH0pps" who, despite never qualifying for the regional stage, has come close to doing so twice. The squad is completed by "t4tiana" and "izzie", who have never competed in an ESL Impact Season before.

kitsune has been competing under a different name, DOVES, in ESL Impact Cash Cups, also representing different organizations such as Amped and Take Flyte. The free-agent squad has had some roster changes since its inception, earlier this year and has ultimately decided to stick with this iteration.

kitsune consists of:

  • Canada Shelby "Shelby" A.

  • United States Tig "Rice" Simpson

  • United States "BunnyH0pps"

  • United States "t4tiana"

  • Canada "izzie"
