Bangers top ESEA Advanced Season 51 qualifier

Last weekend ESEA held an open qualifier for ESEA Advanced Season 51, offering teams a chance to directly qualify for the division, something that is especially lucrative for new lineups who do not already have a spot in the league. The opportunity to directly qualify drew a turnout of 118 teams, with the assembled lineups running the gamut from mixes of well-known ESEA Advanced players, collegiate squads, and "ambitious" stacks of FACEIT Lvl 7 players looking to take a massive leap in their careers.

Notable teams present in the qualifier when it kicked off included an ESEA Advanced mix named Bangers, Fisher College's European-majority roster, VitaPLUR, Amped Red, FLUFFY MAFIA, and Nouns.fe.

When the smoke cleared the final four of the qualifier consisted of VitaPLUR, Bad News Bozos, Bangers, and Klan Fontan. The first semifinal match was decisively won by VitaPLUR who claimed an easy 13-3 win over Bad News Bozos on Ancient. On the other side of the bracket Bangers also found an easy win, taking a 13-5 win over Klan Fontan on Ancient.

In the final match of the qualifier Bangers proved their mettle by easily dispatching VitaPLUR 13-4 on Anubis to lock down their spot in ESEA Advanced Season 51. Bangers consists of a number of players with previous ESEA Advanced including Lane "RiFT" Hardesty who played with Aether last season and Deven "Reaper" Cruthers who played last season with LONG SEASON and is most known for his time with Revel and Huge Sweaty.
