Liquid dominate Complexity in regional showdown
Complexity suffered a brutal loss this afternoon as they struggled from the get-go against Liquid. The Americans on Nuke had an embarrassing first half, failing to get a single T-side round. To their credit, Liquid was clinical, and Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis produced one of his best performances in a year.
Nuke was a map that Complexity will wish to have never happened as the Americans simply could not find a way through Liquid's defenses. YEKINDAR was an absolute menace on the CT-side with 19 kills and a 2.28 HLTV Rating pushing his side to an unreal 12-0 start. Complexity were able to avoid the sweep on their own map pick, but they went out with a wimper as the international squad secured a 13-2 victory.
Complexity started to fight back more on Anubis as they secured four defensive rounds, but this was just Liquid's series from the beginning. Complexity were unable to string enough rounds together to gain consistent momentum as Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak produced an ungodly performance that crushed the Americans. Liquid proved successful as they stomped out Complexity 13-8 on Anubis to take the series 2-0.
Liquid is now scheduled to play against G2 this Friday. They hope to qualify for the semi-finals of ESL Pro League Season 20.
