Canada and USA top Men's IESF World Esports Championship 2024 NA Qualifier
Just like the women, the Canadian and American men's rosters have comfortably managed to qualify for the IESF World Esports Championship 2024 after both topped their groups and took the win in the qualifying series.
In the grand finals of the qualifier, where there was nothing on the line except bragging rights, the USA took a 13-5 victory to cement the team as the favorite coming out of North America.
Despite the drama the USA squad is embroiled in, the team has shown fantastic form during the qualifier after starting the event with a 2-0 win over Colombia, which was followed by a 2-0 victory over Honduras and an FF win against Panama. In the semifinals, fighting for a spot in Riyadh, the USA defeated Costa Rica 2-0.
Canada had a similar journey, as the Homyno squad and Brandon "YuZ" Cyr cruised through the group stage with three 2-0 victories before qualifying with another sweep win against Panama. With these results, Canada and the USA will have both their men's and women's rosters in Saudi Arabia competing in the IESF WEC 2024.
